This handcrafted sculpture is made from local sese wood and is called the Horn Blower or “Mma”, as pronounced in Twi. As its name states it shows a horn blower, who is used in many cultures across west Africa, as a form of announcing to the community that their ‘Chief’ wishes to talk to them, or in some cases it is used to announce the arrival of the ‘Chiefs’
